At Shoot59.com we want to bring you as many course reviews as possible. Not only because we love doing them, but also because we have a slightly different agenda to the reviews you'll find in the leading golf magazines and websites.
You see, we recognise how much time and money golf demands, and therefore we know just how dissapointing it can be to schedule a day out and spend a small fortune, only to find the course isn't as good as you'd hoped. We also recognise that to play a good course requires a good strategy - something that doesn't automatically come in to the average golfer's mind when smashing the ball off the first tee with only an in-house course planner for advice.
Our agenda is plain and simple: to help you choose a course that's going to be perfect for you, perfect for your budget, and perfect for your game!
Let's face it, we'd all love to play St. Andrews, Wentworth, Birkdale, or Torrey Pines on a warm day in July, but if you can't really afford the big money, or your handicap means you haven't quite got the game just yet to really enjoy the experience, then you'll probably trudge off the 18th down-right dissheartened and feeling like you should have done something better with your time and money.
Our aim is to bring you the kind of information that's designed to help improve your chances of having a great day on a golf course - one that suits both your game and your budget. We can't guarantee it'll help you shoot the best score of your life (that bit's down to you), but we can try and help you feel like it was the best game of your life...!

We'll check them through and if they're passed as appropriate we'll post them for the shoot59 community to enjoy. Alternatively send us your recommendations of courses for us to visit and review. We want this to be a feature of real value to you - not simply us eulogising about the best 100 courses in the world. We want to unearth the gems that are right for you: and if you are going to play one of the top 100, we want to help you take the right game for the occasion. You might not actually shoot 59, but the second best is to feel like you did!
